Wall covering that is textured or embossed can be painted. Using that covering on the ceiling can make your ceiling look like an expensive tin ceiling. Before you start with this home decor, make sure that you purchase a small swatch of the covering just to be sure that you will like it when it covers your whole ceiling or all your walls. If you don't do this test first I may have to just tell you that "I told you so". And you may lose a lot of your budget money and you may waste a lot of your time tearing down wall covering.
